2018: Integration into Smart IDReader

On April 10, 2018 the Smart Engines company reported that the Odnakassa service implemented Smart IDReader technology for recognition of Russian Federation citizen passports at sale of tickets in buses of the long-distance message. According to the company, the buses connected to service, are equipped with the special mobile terminal which allows to perform sale of travel documents. The solution is used for automatic input of personal data about passengers.

The digital platform of Odnakassa service provides end-to-end technology of work with data in the field of bus transportations. Its distinctive feature is extent of automation of carriers, bus stations and systems of distribution of tickets and also their integration into a uniform product. It allows to sell tickets of different carriers based on service and to consolidate Internet sales of tickets from different services.

All who at least once entered passport data on phone know as far as it is inconvenient. Due to implementation of automatic recognition of the Russian Federation citizen passport and other countries we managed to simplify considerably the procedure of sale and to reduce time of an execution of tickets on long-distance routes. The module of recognition of passports is integrated with the software of own development of Odnakass installed on onboard mobile terminals. At execution of the ticket for input of passport data it is enough to scan the document using the built-in camera in the mobile terminal. Recognition of documents is performed in a video flow in real time and for December, 2018 takes only several seconds. After that data in the online mode are transferred to the Odnakassa system that gives the chance to users of service to obtain up-to-date information about existence of tickets for this or that run.

Autocompletion of passport data upon purchase of tickets in mobile applications is one of trends of 2018 in Russia and in the world. The Odnakassa service became the pioneer in use of the similar systems in such rather conservative segment as sale of bus tickets.
