On December 26, 2018 the ESKO Light Technologies company and JSC ER-Telecom Holding announced completion of preparation of the Smart Light project and its working start in the Ivanovo region.
The project is implemented in cooperation of Svetovye Tekhnologii ESKO LLC with the national operator of information and communication services of JSC ER-Telecom Holding and the government of the Ivanovo region.
At the beginning of September, 2018 the agreement between the government of the Ivanovo region and "Association of producers of LEDs and systems on their basis" was signed. The city administration selected the contractor of the project on replacement of the equipment during compulsory competitive procedure according to the current legislation. Financing of the project is implemented within the power service contract and does not require the budget investments, it is an example of public-private partnership with such effect.
Within implementation "ESKO Light Technologies" replaced in the city all old lamp street lamps on the main streets, in quarters and also in the private sector, with effective LED (only 15,534 lamps).
Important feature of the project is its integration into the "smart city" system. A third of the equipment represents "smart" lamps, control of which is exercised remotely. The solution is implemented by JSC ER-Telecom Holding on the basis of wireless IoT-network based on LoRaWAN technology. The innovative technology allows to regulate lighting as groups of lamps, and everyone, reducing and increasing the power (a dimmirovaniye, including inclusion and switching off) depending on purpose of the lit territory, time of day, year, weather conditions, extent of pollution of plafonds and so forth.
"In those areas where "smart" equipment is installed, our technology allows to organize light zoning, for example, at night to make lighting more comfortable in the yards of apartment houses, but in the meantime to light crosswalks brightly, in order to avoid road accidents". Victor Ratnikov, Vice president for innovations of B2B and IoT of JSC ER-Telecom Holding |
Thanks to technology of Internet of Things, the servicing organizations will have an opportunity to online trace parameters of technical condition of the equipment, far off to control operability, to perform predictive service that will give the chance to minimize number of emergency shutdown of lamps and will lower time and resources for search of faulty.
Upgrade of lighting will lay the foundation of the "smart" city in Ivanovo for the benefit of citizens.
"The managed "smart" lighting creates digital base for deployment of other "smart" services, using modern solutions of Internet of Things for interaction in it, the network can integrate in itself all utility systems from counters to transport". Alexey Anikin, CEO of Svetovye Tekhnologii ESKO LLC |
"We not just replaced everything to one bulb, over 15 thousand, this system with elements of "the smart city". So afterwards the city administration will be able to set several scenarios of lighting depending on time of day, intensity of the movement, and on these scenarios to work. Preliminary estimates show that on some streets it became lighter in two, and somewhere even three times. At the same time the city will spend in a year for lighting nearly 4 times less means. In general I hope that the city will become more comfortable. It is such one of elements of the global comfortable urban environment in which we in the city of Ivanovo and in all our cities began to be engaged". Stanislav Voskresensky, governor of the Ivanovo region |
As a result of start of the upgraded lighting system in Ivanovo economy of energy consumption on street lighting up to 69% of the current indicator is supposed, it is not less than 10.5 million kWh a year, and in terms of money for all term of the contract will exceed 486 million rubles. Decrease in operating costs is planned up to 50%.
