In December, 2018 the largest Swiss insurance company Zurich Insurance Group announced use of corporate social network Facebook Workplace. Connected more than 50 thousand employees in 36 countries to it.

Before Facebook Workplace implementation the Zurich company used mainly e-mail for interaction of employees. It is noted that the choice fell on Facebook service for its intuitive clearness for users.

Once tools which you used at work were much better than those which were at your place. Now everything exchanged, and many young workers spend much more time in digital space thanks to platforms which they use during social communication, – the head of department of Zurich public relations Francis Bouchard says. – We needed to upgrade tool kit which we offer our employees, and its intuitive character was the main problem. People are familiar with platform mechanics [Facebook Workplace is a comment of TAdviser]. It only began to be used, but the involvement into it is extremely high, and it improved transparency in all group and also joint work.

According to Bouchard, four weeks later after deployment of corporate social network about a third of employees of the company already used it.

In addition to Zurich, service works in some other large companies, including GSK, Astra Zeneca and BaoViet Bank. Besides, the city administration of Oslo and the government of Singapore are users of Facebook Workplace.

Implementation of Facebook Workplace in Zurich became known in a week after the service received certification on the international standard ISO 27018, aimed at personal data protection, stored in clouds.[1]
