Rostec supplied a radar equipment to the airports of Murmansk and Salekhard

Customers: Murmansk airport

Transport

Product: AORL-1AS - Airfield survey radar

Project date: 2019/02  - 2020/08

2020: Delivery of radars of small range

The Ruselectronics holding delivered to State Corporation Rostec in the airports of Murmansk and Salekhard survey locators of small range. On September 18, 2020 Rostec reported about it. The equipment is capable to detect aircrafts at distance to 120 km and is designed to increase reliability of a management system for air traffic. AORL-1AM radars are delivered within the federal project on development of the regional airports.

In the device methods of signal processing and information using processors and modern integrated microcircuits are used, are improved a management system and control, the transmit equipment is completely processed.

The parabolic antenna allows the device to obtain information at the same time on two channels: primary which is used for detection of airplanes, and secondary for more information on flight altitude, fuel reserve, number of a board.

The device has the advanced system of power supply at the expense of what the locator can work in the conditions of power off. In the equipment the concept of "soft failure" is implemented – failure of the separate module does not lead to shutdown of the radar. The equipment does not require permanent presence of service staff at the expense of a possibility of remote diagnostics of faults.

Upgrade of infrastructure of the regional airports contributes to the development of air traffic between the subjects of the Russian Federation. These radars are capable to provide completely requirements of small and medium airfields for a radar equipment. In the nearest future this equipment is going to be installed at several Russian airports, – the industrial director of a radio-electronic complex of State Corporation Rostec Sergey Sakhnenko noted.

As a part of Ruselectronics the project is implemented by affiliated enterprise of Vega concern – the Chelyabinsk radio plant "Weeds".

2019: Delivery plans of radiolokat of small range

On February 12, 2019 the Rostec State corporation reported that the Ruselectronics Holding will deliver survey radars of small range in the airports of Murmansk and Salekhard within the program of Rosaviatsiya for modernization of the airports of Russia. The equipment is capable to detect airplanes of civil aviation of all operated mass types at distance to 120 km. Supply of equipment will be made until the end of 2019.

Rostec began equipment of the small airports with radars

The AORL-1AM radar developed at the Chelyabinsk radio plant Flight of Ruselectronics holding is the version of the serial AORL-1AS radar with the reduced power output. The parabolic antenna of the radar provides an opportunity for work at the same time on two channels – on primary, intended for detection of the aircraft, and on secondary which is used for more information from the airplane (the board number, flight altitude, fuel reserve, etc.).

In the radar the transmit equipment is completely processed; the system of power supply is improved at the expense of what the locator can work in the conditions of power off; are improved a management system and serviceability check. In the equipment the concept of "soft failure" is implemented – failure of the separate module does not lead to shutdown of the radar. The locator does not require permanent presence of service staff at the expense of a possibility of remote diagnostics of faults.

"Radars of small range completely close requirements of the small and medium airports for a radar equipment. This equipment allows to detect effectively aircraft and to obtain from them all necessary data for maintenance of flights. The majority of routes are within the country made with joining in the Moscow aviation node because of absence at the regional airports of the necessary equipment. Modern means of radio engineering ensuring flights allow to upgrade regional aviation infrastructure and it is essential to increase a share of the flights made between regions directly".
