Management by means of the voice assistant Alice

December 13, 2019 The research and development center of GS Labs announced expansion of functionality of the smart home system for subscribers of the Tricolour, having implemented an ability to manage by means of the voice assistant Alice from Yandex.

As noted in GS Labs, device management of the smart home using the voice assistant can be exercised through " Yandex.station " or "smart columns" supporting Alice and also through mobile applications of Yandex. The TV-receiver should be connected to the Internet and have connection to a cloud service of the smart home.

To start use registration of Alice in settings of mobile application "A tricolor the Smart house" or in the application on the receiver using a special phrase is necessary. Control of the voice assistant is exercised in the specialized mode. For activation of this skill it is enough to tell Alice one of commands: "start skill the Tricolour" or "ask the Tricolour to turn on the light". Further for inclusion or switching off of the device connected to the smart home it will be necessary to say the corresponding voice command: "turn on the light in kitchen", "turn off the whole world in the house", etc.

In March, 2019 GS Group announced system development "smart house" which became a basis of service "Tricolor Smart house", the operator available to clients since March 4.

Feature of the solution – a software platform which integrates possibilities of the smart home with applications and services of a pay TV. A system is customized under the specific user and considers possibilities of expansion of the range of peripheral devices.

The functionality "A tricolor the Smart house" is implemented on Zigbee technology and integrated into the interactive Stingray TV platform. In upgraded version the separate section with the intuitive interface is available to the user. For system deployment it is necessary only to purchase and connect the module of management and "smart" elements to a prefix (peripheral devices are sensors, lamps, sockets, etc.). A system can independently work, but at connection to the Internet the user will have additional opportunities: remote control, obtaining push-notifications, etc. Installation and setup of the equipment do not demand any special knowledge from the user and take read minutes.

In a line of the solutions "Tricolour Smart House" for March, 2019 11 devices are provided. After connection of a system clients of the operator can create own scenarios of work of the smart house and also use preset.

We created the hardware and software system allowing quickly and with rather small costs to unroll the smart house based on the set-top box. And the acquaintance and the intuitive interface of the Stingray TV platform, an opportunity to manage a system from the menu of the TV or far off, using applications for tablets or smartphones on iOS or Android, will make use of the smart home the most comfortable. "The tricolor" will allow to learn the Smart house about a water leakage, a gas leak, smoke or an open door. With its help it is possible to manage remotely light in each room, to change brightness, saturation and color, to receive detailed statistics on energy consumption, to trace indicators of temperature and air humidity.

The software with functionality of the smart home for Set-top boxes of a line of General Satellite (GS B520, GS B521, GS E521L, GS B521H, GS B521HL, GS B522, GS B5310, GS B5311, GS B531N, GS B531M, GS B532M, GS B533M, GS B534M) is available to updating both in automatic, and in the manual mode on the website gs.ru. Further the list of the receivers compatible to the smart house will be replenished.
