History

2019: Neurosurgeons of KDKB render emergency aid of more than 22 thousand patients

In March, 2019 five years from the moment of opening in Perm Krai were performed of the first children's neurosurgical department.

In edge children's clinical hospital the full-fledged neurosurgical center where there is planned and emergency advisory acceptance of the neurosurgeon, day and round-the-clock hospitals works. The modern diagnostic systems working in the round-the-clock mode are available to children with neurosurgical pathology, and the neurosurgical operating room is the most equipped in hospital.

In 5 years neurosurgeons of KDKB executed about 1200 transactions, including 157 transactions relating to discharge of hi-tech (VMP)

In department the operational microscope of Leica, the system of neurosurgical navigation of Medtronic, an endoscopic neurosurgical rack of Karl Storz are set.

In five years of work neurosurgeons of KDKB rendered advisory emergency aid of more than 22 thousand patients with a craniocereberal injury and other sharp diseases of the central nervous system and backbone, about 2 thousand patients received the planned advisory help. In total through a neurosurgical hospital for these years there passed more than 4 thousand children. Neurosurgeons executed about 1200 transactions, including 157 transactions relating to discharge of hi-tech (VMP). Acceptance with diseases of nervous system of a neurosurgical profile of patients from other regions of the Russian Federation is organized (57 operations are performed).

For March, 2019 children's neurosurgical department of KDKB carries out the whole range of difficult surgical interventions: ventrikuloperitonealny shuntings with a video endoscopic assistention; microsurgical removals of tumors of a back cranial pole and big hemispheres of a brain; endoscopic triventrikulotsisternostomiya; microsurgical removals of tumors of a spinal cord; back selection rizotomiya; coretractions of spinal hernia with a microsurgical miyeloradikuloliz and plastics of the spinal channel under neurophysiological monitoring; microsurgical III–IV vetrikulostomiya.

Neurosurgeons perform operation under a microscope

Surgical service KDKB multi-profile, here at the same time is on duty several specialists: the traumatologist, the ENT specialist, the surgeon, the endoscopist, the intensivist who are quickly connected in need of rendering profile medical aid. Existence of round the clock working device computer tomography (KT) allows to make the correct diagnosis in short terms and to appoint necessary treatment. At certain indications there is an opportunity to carry out on site MPT- inspection in the different modes.

Planned acceptance of the young patient

Besides, the oncohematological center which is engaged in diagnostics and treatment including tumors of a head and spinal cord is a part of edge children's clinical hospital. All children who were injured at state of emergency consult with symptoms of injuries of the central nervous system (CNS) far off using telemedicine technologies the duty neurosurgeon of KDKB. During such consultations the issue of operational treatment and transportation of the patient in medical institution of the third level is resolved. Work of children's neurosurgical service KDKB is carried out in close interaction with colleagues from other medical organizations of Perm Krai and the Russian Federation.^[1]

2014: Creation of children's neurosurgical department

In 2014 in "Edge children's clinical hospital" for the first time in the history of Perm Krai children's neurosurgical department was open. With it there began work the uniform children's neurosurgical service of Prikamye.

Up to this point children with craniocereberal injuries and other neurosurgical pathology were treated based on hospitals of the general medical network, is frequent near asocial citizens, without the necessary hi-tech equipment.

Neurosurgical department was open on a personal initiative of the chief physician of GBUZ PK GDKB No. 15 (now edge children's clinical hospital), the doctor of medical sciences Dmitry Valeryevich Antonov with assistance of colleagues and the edge authorities.
