Start in serial production of MD1-CV-RS485A and MD1-CV-RS232A
On August 20, 2019 the ELTEX company reported that it put in serial production transformers of interfaces for solving of tasks on automation of data collection.
According to the company, converters are intended for the organization of remote access to metering devices with the digital interface (RS-485, RS-232) through an Ethernet network. Devices perform transfer of indicators from an Ethernet network in the serial interface and back without changes that ensures safety of information transfer. Thanks to opportunities of RS-485 interface, using one MD1-CV-RS485 converter, it is possible to poll up to 255 metering devices connected to the common bus through IPA-S6 splitters.
Settings of parameters of the serial interface, such as are provided in transformers: transmission rate, control of parity, the number of information bits in sending and stop bits.
Development of transformers of the MD1-CV-RS485A and MD1-CV-RS232A interfaces
On March 29, 2019 the Eltex company announced development of converters for solving of tasks on automation of data collection.
According to the bill of an intelligent system of electricity metering which was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading in November, 2017, use of "smart" counters will become obligatory since 2021. With respect thereto Eltex developed and put on the market a complex of devices and software for ensuring the automated data collection from individual and all-house metering devices. For March, 2019 the enterprise is going to expand the list of IoT-devices and to add a line with transformers of interfaces.
According to the producer, transformers of the MD1-CV-RS485A and MD1-CV-RS232A interfaces allow to connect individual and all-house metering devices with the digital interface (RS-485, RS-232) and to transform their data to Ethernet with TCP/IP stack. Besides, converters ensure safety of data transmission. Devices perform data transmission from an Ethernet network in the serial interface and back without changes. There is a possibility of setup of parameters of the serial interface, such as: transmission rate, control of parity, the number of information bits in sending and stop bits.
Characteristics of converters mentioned by the producer:
- compact body
- simplicity of installation
- low price
- existence of exits + 12B and + 5B for a power supply of digital interfaces of individual and all-house metering devices
These devices are provided for solving of tasks on automation of data collection and provide transfer of indications of water, heat and light on the Eltex SC platform. Also transformers of interfaces work in the TCP server mode and can be used with any other data collection systems, claim in Eltex.
Start of devices in serial production is planned for the II quarter 2019.
