Awarded with LANIT creators of the best documentary about information technologies

The nomination "Let IT Dok!" was founded by the organizing committee of Docker and LANIT group in 2016. Still it is the competitive program of movies, only on all world festival space, about IT.

The winner movie "Let IT Dok!" selected special jury of tender which part this year the vice president for social projects of LANIT Elena Gens, the head of department of Telecommunication in the joint edition RBC Anna Balashova, the Chief Editor of Rusbase Svetlana Zykova, the Chief Editor of analytical center TAdviser Alexander Levashov and the angel investor, the expert in promotion of hi-tech startups Liliana Pertenawa were.

First of all, there is a wish to congratulate "DOCKER" on anniversary. It is pleasant to realize that we are on friendly terms with a festival and we support it from the very beginning. Cooperation with Docker there began my father Georgy Gens, the founder of LANIT group. It was one of its numerous interests about which it would be possible to shoot the interesting film too. Now we with pleasure carry on this tradition. It is exciting to see that the IT nomination grows and gains steam. I hope, it will develop with the same speed with which information technologies develop today. They take a lot of place in our life, it is very important that people had as much as possible opportunities to learn about IT, to understand this sphere and to reflect on it from the different parties. I with pleasure watched the movie "People's Republic of Desire" which took the first prize "Let IT Dok!", and is safely ready to recommend it, and not only to adults, but also teenagers. In own way, this movie - "inoculation reality", important for reflections about borders between the real and virtual world. The movie as a result turned out a little sad, but absolutely tremendous. And what is not always peculiar to documentary cinema, it looks on one breath — Elena Gens added.

Traditionally "DOCKER" consists of two main competitive programs — complete and short meter. The Grand Prix received the movie "Owner of Deer" by the director Ksenia Elyan for the best documentary of an anniversary festival — the only Russian film which entered the main tender of a film festival. The best short film recognizes a tape Sanatorium of the director Masha Osipova.

In five years "DOCKER" visited more than 40 thousand viewers. Over 250 best documentary pictures from different parts of the world were shown. The festival was attended by more than 100 guests from around the world: these are directors of competitive movies, judges, experts and film critics. Friendship of LANIT and "DOCKER" continues from the first festival. In addition to organization of the IT nomination, LANIT four times (including, this year) was an official partner of Docker.
