2020: Automation of planning of city autodelivery

The BIA Technologies company announced on January 29, 2021 that it automated planning of city autodelivery for Business Lines

A TMS system for the organization of transport chains in the city was created with the purpose to minimize a run and the number of the involved vehicles, to raise number of the orders serviced in run and to reduce labor costs of logisticians.

"We managed to optimize routes, having added about 30% of additional orders to one route, for 25% to reduce idle time of machines and by 10% - transportation costs. A system allows to plan about 2 thousand runs daily, and the mathematical model considers about 400 important during the work in the cities with different infrastructure of parameters" — noted in Business Lines.

All TMS elements were developed separately – according to representatives of BIA Technologies, analogs in the Russian market do not exist. The mathematical model which covers a huge range unique for each city and the client of parameters is the basis for the solution, quickly distributes requests for hundreds of machines, providing the high accuracy of planning and increasing performance of the logistician.

"After start in operation, the logistician of the million-plus city adjusts no more than 10-15% of runs, spending for it up to 20 minutes of working time daily. Except the system of mathematical modeling and unique base for storage of parameters, the platform is integrated with services of the forecast of traffic jams and builds routes, proceeding from a road situation" — told in BIA Technologies.

Within the project experience of logisticians is digitized, tools for search and error correction of geocoding, setup of geozones with restrictions on category of transport are implemented. A system predicts demand for services of transportations and builds the plan for next day considering possible adjustments in it, providing hit in time windows at the level of 95%.

During the business program of the 24th International exhibition of transport logistics services and TransRussia technologies which passed from April 15 to April 17, 2019 the CEO of Delovye Linii Group Farid Madani and the deputy CEO for a business activity and marketing of BIA-Technologies company Alexey Bugay told about the project on development of the system of control of transport implemented in group (TMS, Transport Management System).

According to the head of Business Lines, the staff increase of logisticians does not lead to increase in efficiency. It is reasonable to begin start of digitalization of large cargo carrier with attraction of IT examination. Business integrator and the key partner in the project of digitalization in Business Lines is the BIA Technologies company.

According to Farid Madani, reduction of number of delay of vehicles to 1% became the main result of application of TMS in group. At the same time, as a result of system implementation of control of transport warehouse and operating costs were reduced by 15%, transportation costs were reduced by 10%, and capacity of a warehouse managed to be increased by 25%. In general optimization of number of transport concerned 15% of the park, the CEO of Business Lines added.

Accuracy of information on the planned loadings is a key of effective work of a transport shoulder of freight transportation — Farid Madani noted.

According to him, further development of a company performance will be connected with active use of smart contracts and automation of warehousing capacit. However wider use of robotics, for example, in the field of pilotless driving is a perspective which expects the industry not earlier than in 10 years, the expert is sure.

Transport infrastructure is not ready to use of the similar systems yet, however it is already necessary to be engaged in implementation of separate elements, and we have such solutions — Farid Madani summarized.

Participants of a discussion were solidary that the existing technologies are enough for growth of logistic business due to implementation of IT solutions. The deputy CEO for a business activity and marketing of BIA-Technologies company Alexey Bugay noted:

If to draw an analogy, the processor power and restrictions us so far do not contain growth of frequency of processors in any way. The same concerns also Internet of Things. We did not exhaust yet that technology potential which allows us to implement requests of Business Lines.

The case of implementation of TMS in Business Lines is provided during the panel session "IT Solutions on Transport and in Logistics" which took place in the first day of the TransRussia exhibition — on April 15. Within the conference point tasks in a specific segment of logistic transportations were considered and also there took place discussion of how the main business processes are saturated with technologies: accounting of the movement of goods and loads, order and monitoring of transport, loading of warehouse, quality control, support of omnichannel approach in organization development.
