On April 18, 2019 Sberbank announced creation of the digital double of the TV host — Elena. Elena is a news TV host of Sberbank and can conduct news plots, using only the text for generation of the full video image and the speech, accompanying it with a mimicry and emotions of the real person.
"The digital double of the TV host" is a difficult development which consists as of the technologies which are available in the market, and from unique, created within the project. Automatic generation of a mimicry is an uncommon task over which solution only the few companies managed to cope in the world, report in bank.
Elena is joint development of Laboratory of robotics of Sberbank and two Russian companies: CST provides the pilot system of speech synthesis on the basis of artificial neural networks, and the CGF Innovation company combines methods of artificial intelligence and instruments of creation of photorealistic computer graphics.
According to in Sberbank, new development is unique and significantly advances the similar solutions existing in the Russian market.

Scope of this technology is wide: corporate and mass communications, advertizing, creation of the training materials, social work with pensioners — up to use in household devices. In Sberbank it is supposed to use the robot to creation of news releases and representation of news on Sberbank TV and their distribution, creation of video advertizing of products, services and goods of bank, the companies of its ecosystem and customers and also to submission of projects, programs, achievements, plans, the educational and training programs, rates of Sberbank and the companies of Group Sberbank at forums, exhibitions and other similar actions.
Work on the "Elena — the Digital Double of the TV Host" project is continued. There are several directions of its development: mimicry quality excellence, adding of emotions, movements, virtual studio, improvement of technical parameters — speeds and permissions, creation of doubles for independent operation in devices.
