As of February 2023, the eCADFEM service is no longer available in Russia.

eCADFEM is a service of CJSC CADFEM Si-I-Es, providing numerical modeling technologies of ANSYS, as well as partner solutions on flexible, affordable conditions. The eCADFEM service is intended for enterprises using engineering software:

• especially intensive, so that the existing pool of existing licenses becomes insufficient.

2019: eCADFEM service launch

On May 16, 2019, it became known that the Russian distributor of engineering analysis software CADFEM CIS launched the eCADFEM service - commercial software licenses with per second charging. Now you can not only purchase permanent ANSYS licenses, but also rent them only for the duration of settlements. You can also rent HPC resources for resource-intensive computing through eCADFEM. European enterprises successfully tested the emerging format in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, before it came to Russia.

According to representatives of CADFEM CIS, in Russia the service will be in demand, first of all, among companies that require engineering calculations on a periodic basis. The service is also suitable for enterprises that have permanent ANSYS licenses, but temporarily need to expand their pool. The main advantage for users is that in eCADFEM you can launch the necessary software product from the multidisciplinary ANSYS line by paying for a single package of services.

In Russia, the service was launched in December 2018, among the first clients - representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. For companies that require access to software for short periods of time or from time to time, traditional licensing practices are rather unprofitable. In the classic version, non-working hours of license inactivity are not taken into account, in some cases costs are not economically determined. When working with eCADFEM, this problem is solved: the connection time to the license server is recorded per second from the moment you start to close any program. If licenses are not used, then there is no payment for them.

Users are not limited in the choice of licenses for software modules, a full set of multidisciplinary ANSYS solutions is available in the service. Licenses provided by the service are genuine, commercial, network and not tied to equipment. Computing resources are used both for background calculations from several tens to thousands of cores, and for interactive work with 3D applications at the stage of preprocessing tasks and building large calculation models. eCADFEM cloud computing resources are transferred with an already configured computing environment.

Russian clients of the service are advised by CADFEM CIS, the ANSYS competence center in Russia. Through the service, customers can place an online order for a training seminar, consultation on applied and technical issues, assistance in setting up a calculation model, evaluating the results of calculations, conducting settlements to order and developing methods for solving problems.
