On May 27, 2019 in Naberezhnye Chelny the new plant on production of frameworks of cabins for trucks opened "KamAZ" and Mercedes-Benz[1]. The total amount of investments into its creation was 14 billion rubles, and its main feature the companies call the high level of automation.
Daimler Kamaz Rus - joint venture of "KamAZ" and under control Mercedes-Benz of Daimler company will manage the platform.

In the territory of the enterprise workshops of welding, coloring of cabins and logistics, the power center are located. Further the logistics zone where they are shipped on assembly conveyors of "KamAZ" and Daimler Kamaz Rus for the subsequent assembly and installation on the chassis follows.
The new plant follows the principles of accurate logistics and lean production. Rostec says that a number of the used technologies were implemented for the first time in Russia at the plant on production of frameworks of cabins. Carry the high-automated welding workshop, use of painting innovative technologies on the basis of supersolid paints and varnishes to them, automatic system of loading of cabins in specialized trailers for their further transportation to assembly lines.
