On May 28, 2019 it became known of plans to create the center of the positron emission tomography (PET) in Novosibirsk. The radio-electronic cluster (REK) of Rostec state corporation will be engaged in project implementation.
The PET-center for diagnosis of oncological diseases at early stages will be constructed in the territory of the research institute (RI) of pathology of blood circulation of the academician Meshalkin (Meshalkin's clinic), the governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrey Travnikov reported.

According to the industrial director of REK Rostec Group Sergey Sakhnenko, object parameters, including investment volume, will be clear only after project development. By the end of May, 2019 Rostec and the regional authorities did not come to the final decision of rather necessary capacities of the center.
The Deputy CEO of JSC Schwabe Ivan Ozhgikhin noted that the company is at high readiness to implementation.
Such centers are under construction around the world across territories with the population of 10 million people and more today. Siberian Federal District with the center in Novosibirsk is ideal by these parameters — he added. |
In addition to Novosibirsk, Rostec is going to construct the PET-centers in Primorsky Krai, Moscow and Obninsk. According to the director of special orders of Rostec Vasily Brovko, they are implemented according to the Health care national project.
Within this project Schwab is engaged in a complete set of medical institutions in the equipment. In 2017-2018 in medical institutions of the Russian Federation more than 10 thousand units of the iatrotechnics were delivered.[1]
