2021: Micron began to produce devices that determine the filling and ignition of garbage cans
On June 11, 2021, it became known that Micron began to produce a MMK-01 wireless optical device that determines the filling and ignition of garbage cans. Thanks to this system, it is possible to remotely monitor the level of waste in tanks and optimize the logistics of garbage collection.
As it is reported on the official site of the Mayor of Moscow ("Micron" is a resident of OSE "the Technopolice Moscow), the device works by the principle of the Internet of things (Internet of Things, IoT). When filling tanks by more than two thirds, the data are sent to the supervisor and the regional operator responsible for the removal of waste in a particular organization. This allows you to adjust the schedules of the re-operator and minimize the cases of removal of empty containers.
According to the developers, MMK-01 saves the operating time of garbage trucks, fuel costs and controls the fact of garbage collection. The MMK-01 device installed in the tank consists of the optical waste level control sensor, the data transmission module and the MIK51SC72D microcontroller of the first level of Micron production.
The container percentage information is transmitted to the monitoring system over the network NB-IoT at configurable intervals. Based on statistical data, the system calculates approximate filling dates for garbage cans, determines the optimal number and location of containers. The microcontroller body is made of impact-resistant plastic for operation in extreme environmental conditions and protection against physical effects. Battery life - about three years.
Mikhail Godenko, head of the company's promising projects, said that prompt access to the information that the device provides will allow you to respond to various emergency situations in a timely manner. [1]
2019: Announcement of a wireless optical device to control the filling of garbage containers
On June 11, 2019, Micron announced that it had created a MMK-01 wireless optical device to control the filling of garbage containers. The device allows you to remotely monitor the level of waste in tanks and optimize the logistics of garbage collection.
According to the company, the "clever" system works by the principle of the Internet of things (Internet of Things, IoT). When filling tanks by more than two thirds, the data are sent to the supervisor and the regional operator responsible for the removal of waste in a particular organization. This allows you to adjust the schedules of the re-operator and minimize the cases of removal of empty containers.
The environmental problem as of June 2019 is one of the acute topics in Russia and the world, which needs digital transformation to improve the quality of life of people and the state of the environment. The device for the municipal services, housing and public utilities, the companies and the organizations which are directly connected with formation of garbage and its utilization allows to optimize operations on collecting waste, making decisions on the basis of a data flow and to increase availability and quality of provision of services on export of MSW due to process automation. The device uses its own development and expertise of our partners in terms of the Internet of Things. said Mikhail Godenko, head of promising projects |
