"The association of independent drugstores" created a management system for Big Data based on the solution Informatica

On June 17, 2019 the company DIS Group reported that Informatica Big Data Management it was used in an ecosystem for Big Data ACHA.

The association of independent drugstores (ASNA) created and continues to develop an ecosystem of management of Big Data. Thanks to this ecosystem more than 25 thousand users which partners of association are: the owners managing drugstores, front-line workers and also internal users – managers and analysts of the company – get online access to Big Data.

Partners of ASNA work at the different accounting systems, on the latest analytical data are more than 50 types of the software. The ecosystem of ASNA supports data processing in several formats, thanks to Informatica Big Data Management parsing of the received files, conversion data in the structured format with the subsequent loading in traditional storage is performed. Already structured data come to the analytical systems and become available to end consumers.

Except Informatica, ASNA also uses in the IT landscape – Apache Hive, Spark, Ambari, Hue and other tools.

The ecosystem of management of Big Data helps the end user to obtain data through dashborda (dashboards), to prepare the reporting and also to make management decisions on the basis of data and to define efficiency of business initiatives. In particular, to calculate the actual indicators on sales, returns, a remaining balance, purchases, marketing efforts and another.

In terms of information technologies, one may say, that ASNA is an aggregator of data. But for the pharmaceutical market, ASNA not just the aggregator of drugstores, and a business model. The company changes every day and changes the industry in general. Data are one of key business values. An important task for IT is ensuring their purity, quality and reliability. At the heart of an ecosystem of management of Big Data – the requirement to fast scalability as the number of drugstores and data volume increases daily. In the course of creation of an ecosystem, we experimented, and not always from the first received desirable result.
