In BPS-Sberbank the platform for mobile device management is implemented

On June 19, 2019 the JSC BPS-Sberbank company reported that it implemented a single platform for mobile device management based on the solution VMware Workspace ONE. It allowed to provide mobility of employees and increased flexibility of internal business processes. The project was performed by Softline company.

According to the company, the advancing rates of development of infrastructure and services in BPS-Sberbank created the need for implementation of technological solutions for optimization of work of employees, customer acquisition and deployment of necessary services. The single mobile platform which would provide transparent and simple control of all end devices of employees within an IT ecosystem was necessary for bank.

After the careful analysis of available solutions, selected Softline as the best option on the solution VMware Workspace ONE meeting project requirements not only in terms of functionality but also in questions of information security. Possibilities of the solution were tested within a pilot project which passed in two stages using a demonstration cloud service of VMware TestDrive.

An opportunity to provide secure remote access to corporate environment of bank became an important factor when choosing Workspace ONE: To a CRM system, internal portal of bank, system of video conferences, Help Desk system and other services. Besides, VMware Workspace ONE UEM Powered by AirWatch is integrated with the Active Directory directory and provides centralized operation with access for users to mobile resources through groups of security of the domain.

After a successful completion of the pilot, specialists of Softline started complex implementation. As a result BPS-Sberbank integrated a full-fledged MDM system based on Workspace ONE. A system is capable to provide uninterrupted interaction with corporate environment from any devices, including personal devices of employees, and the built-in tools of security of the Workspace ONE platform the politician of prevention of leaks, enciphering and access control help to save balance between needs of employees and requirements of IT department to security of data with the help.

Experts of Softline carried out the complex analysis of popular MDM solutions on such criteria as a possibility of local deployment of infrastructure, management of applications, security and cost and also support of the wide list of devices based on different operating systems.

Presence of a possibility of deployment of all infrastructure at DPC of the customer without binding to cloud services was one of the major conditions. Besides, from the solution existence of the built-in resources for ensuring secure access to corporate environment and basic DLP functionality was required.

For June, 2019 more than 500 mobile devices on platforms are put into operation iOS and Android that allowed BPS-Sberbank to optimize internal business processes and to move to the following level of a digital working space.
