Canon LV series Portable projectors

2019: LV-WU360, LV-WX370 and LV-X350

On June 25, 2019 the Canon company announced expansion of a line of portable projectors three lamp LV-WU360, LV-WX370 and LV-X350 models. They are equipped with lamps and have service life, long for portable projectors.

According to the company, each of models of Canon weighs no more than 3.3 kg and is suitable for needs of educational institutions and sales specialists which should transfer the device often. Lungs, but at the same time powerful devices have brightness the 3500 and 3700 lumen, providing image saturation at any lighting. Projectors of LV-WU360, LV-WX370 and LV-X350 with three LCD panels everyone support a 10-bit signal for realistic flowers and deep black, creating images with detailing and excepting flashing. As a rule, on LCD projectors grid lines are visible, however LV-WU360 and LV-WX370 use a microlens for brightness multiplication and do grid lines almost invisible.

Thanks to projective distance from 76 to 760 mm they are suitable both for small negotiation, and for big conference rooms. Despite compactness of these devices, they have a number of the convenient opportunities of setup of the image allowing to reach ideal geometry of the projected picture. Automatic keystone correction and more exact manual adjustment on four corners is available to the user. These functions allow to configure precisely a picture geometry even if the projector is set at an angle or displaced concerning an axis when using in limited space. LV-WX370 and LV-X350 models also provide adjustment of geometrical distortions that the image saved a desirable form at an output to concave or convex screens, or surfaces.

These models support the whole range of permissions: WUXGA (1920 × 1200), WXGA (1280 × 800) and XGA (1024 × 768), i.e. it is possible to pick up suitable model for any budget and IT infrastructure. LV-WU360 is the first portable model of Canon with permission of WUXGA. She creates sharp images with well readable text and smoothed graphics for the most comfortable viewing. Several options of connection to the managing console, including LAN, two types of USB and two ports HDMI allow to show even more various contents, including the presentations, images and video. USB ports and the clear interface with hints allow to connect a projector even if the notebook has no video output. Besides, content can be shown from the memory card — even without notebook. The 10 W loudspeaker allows to reproduce audio directly from a projector, so, to do without additional hardware. For bigger portability all three models have functions of standard, fast or instant cooling that the device could be switched-off from network at once and to transfer to other place.

Thanks to reliable construction of the filter and a lamp with service life of 20,000 hours these models practically do not require service. On durability they do not concede laser, and stand many times less. In need of replacement or repair it is easy to reach these components even at ceiling mounting of a projector. LCD screens are manufactured of inorganic materials now and require less service. In an expanded line lamps of new things of construction — are used with the improved system of adjustment designed to increase efficiency of the power source and to reduce energy consumption.
