EVRAZ will apply an automated system of monitoring of mountain transport when developing the new field of ores

2019: Start of the first stage of the investment project of development of the Own and Kachkanar field

On June 26, 2019 the EVRAZ company announced that it started implementation of the first stage of the investment project of development of the Own and Kachkanar field of titanium magnetite ores with vanadium content. When developing the new field on KGOKE'S EVRAZ the automated system of monitoring of the mining-transport equipment in pits which in real time traces and transfers to the manager and workers information on location and operation parameters of all equipment in pits will be applied.

Commercial production of ore from the Own and Kachkanar field of a pit is going to begin in the first quarter 2021. The project is included in the list of the investment projects having a strategic importance for Sverdlovsk region.

To implementation of the first stage of the project it is going to direct 6.4 billion rubles. The field will be fulfilled by one pit. It is expected that by 2024 extraction of ore will be 13 million tons per year of a pit. When developing Criminal Police Service 135 jobs will be in addition created.

Input of the Own and Kachkanar field assumes use of modern technologies: career excavators with a volume of ladle of 20 cubic meters and the heavy-load BelAZ dump trucks with a loading capacity of 240 tons. Further it is going to place large crushing of ore directly in career, raising of ore the pipeline aboard a pit where crushers of average and small crushing will be located. Delivery of the crushed ore to factory of enrichment will be performed by the trunk pipeline.

Implementation of the first stage of the project will allow to save extraction of ore on KGOKE'S EVRAZ at the level of 59 million tons per year, and by 2024 22% of all volume of the ore extracted at the enterprise will be provided by the Own and Kachkanar field — the vice president of EVRAZ, the division leader Ural Denis Novozhenov noted. — It guarantees stable work to other large industrial enterprise of the region – EVRAZ to Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works.
