On July 11, 2019 it became known that Lorus SCM ("LORUS of Es Si Em") will implement in the work a blockchain system – a distributed database. The technology will allow to automate order taking and registration of transportation, to guarantee to clients the high accuracy of data, to transfer to digital space up to 90% of communications between the staff of the company and to eliminate delays in transit.
The blockchain represents a chain of the blocks which are not attached to one server. Each block concerns a certain user that provides the increased security of information: all users can see a complete chain, but only their owners can edit blocks.
In a system any actions with a load which each participant of transportation will be able to confirm are fixed. Using an ordered algorithm of actions the beginning and the end of transportation will be recorded in a system. The company will be able to control completely all process of transportation of a load and actions of each its participant. Besides, the blockchain will provide reliability guarantee for clients.
After formation of the request from the customer contractors and points of loading unloading are appointed. Date, time of loading and key characteristics of departure bring in base. Further the contractor confirms presence of a load at each point. A system automatically fixes arrival of the order using GPS coordinates. When unloading goods the contractor also enters data on date, time and a status of a load. All actions of the customer and contractor, including transportation payment, are controlled by smart contact – the algorithm step by step noting achievement of each point.
Implementation of technology takes place within the strategy of Lorus SCM. Representatives of the company claim that development of logistic business is impossible without implementation of modern tools.
The market of logistic transactions is weighted by paper document flow, telephone and personal communications. The blockchain will facilitate these processes and will serve as a guarantee of transparency of transactions and transactions. Process automation, security of data, accuracy of deliveries and trust of the customer are extremely important in our work, said Rustem Iskakov, the chief innovation officer of Lorus SCM
