In the Altai edge cardiological clinic the device of remote monitoring CareLink Express is implemented

On July 23, 2019 it became known that the system of remote control of patients with cardiodevices is implemented in Altai Krai – citizens will be able to transfer data of the devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiomonitors of Medtronic) to specialists, without waiting for queue to the doctor.

Process of monitoring takes several minutes and takes place without records. It is expected that it will allow to optimize work of medical personnel, to improve quality of life of patients, to timely reveal the situations requiring medical intervention.

For July, 2019 in an edge cardiological clinic the spetsilny equipment for remote condition monitoring of the patient with the implanted cardiological devices is installed.

The CareLink Express device operates by the principle of the self-service terminal (and resembles it superficially). The patient should approach a rack of remote monitoring which is located in clinic, to select the from the offered list of the implanted devices, to bring the round antenna to area of heart and to press the special button. When data reading begins, the device will publish a sound signal. As soon as all five sensors on the equipment light up green light, the signal will sound again — the reader can be removed, data transmission on the server of the doctor began. Then the doctor, having come into the personal account, will be able to see all list of patients from whom data arrived. If in them there are any aberrations, then it will be highlighted in red color. The doctor at this stage can already make the decision: send the patient for check of the cardiodevice or at once to direct to the cardiologist, said in the official statement of Medtronic.

Modern pacemakers have ample diagnostic opportunities and can define changes in the patient's status, including catch deterioration in work of heart, at an early stage. CareLink Express allows to react to disturbing state changes of the patient quickly. In case of need the doctor will be able to call the patient on the emergency acceptance and to render the timely help even before deterioration in health^[1]. Such scheme of work saves time and allows the specialist to reveal quickly the situations requiring medical intervention and to help only those who really need it.
