2019: Purchase of the Smart PassportBox video scanners for acceleration of data processing of entrants

The Tyumen state university (TYUMGU) selected sensing technologies of certifying documents from Smart Engines company. For input and data processing of entrants in departments of selection committee video scanners of the documents Smart PassportBox are installed. On August 1, 2019 reported about it in Smart Engines company. Delivery of the equipment was executed by Argo LLC company.

Thanks to the solution Smart PassportBox workers of selection committee for data entry of entrants have enough to put document on the reading-out surface of the video scanner now. After that recognition is automatic, and the taken data are entered in the corresponding fields of an information system of the university.

Smart PassportBox is intended for fast scanning and recognition of certifying documents. The video scanner is connected to the computer through USB, and the program part which is responsible for recognition of data is integrated with the front office systems by means of simple API.

According to the deputy head of department of corporate information systems and documentary providing TyumGU Dmitry Promotorov, "unlike traditional scanning and the more so from manual entry of data from documents, use of video scanners of Smart Engines company allows our workers precisely and unambiguously to take data from certifying documents. At the same time all process of such video scanning takes literally several seconds".

Everything within the project of TyumGU conducted procurement of 20 video scanners of the documents Smart PassportBox.
