Solar panels of Tesla suddenly light up. Amazon and Walmart refused them

At the end of August, 2019 it became known that solar panels of Tesla suddenly light up. With respect thereto a number of large customers, including Amazon and Walmart, stopped use of this equipment.

In a conversation with Bloomberg the representative of Amazon told that in June, 2018 in one of warehouses of the company in the city of Redlends, (State of California) there was a fire caused by ignition of solar panels of Tesla. Since then the online retailer began to undertake measures for protection of the property and ceased to buy problem panels. Amazon noted that the company purchased a small amount of such devices.

Tesla reported that failure of the inverter became a cause of the fire on an object of Amazon. According to the statement of Tesla, an inspection of all 11 solar power plants set for Amazon was carried out. All these solar panels work, assured of the company.

Solar panels of Tesla suddenly light up

In August, 2019 Walmart filed a lawsuit against Tesla, having accused the producer of electric vehicles of sale of defective solar panels. Their retailer set more than 240 shops on a roof, and on seven objects there were ignitions of batteries. A significant amount of goods was as a result destroyed and damage is caused to premises, losses are estimated by millions of dollars, according to the lawsuit.

Walmart accused Tesla of contract breach, rough negligence and mismatch to industry standards. The retailer demanded that Tesla dismantled solar panels in shops of network where they were installed, and indemnified loss.

Walmart and Tesla stated that they hope "resume operation of solar panels of Tesla in Walmart shops when both parties are sure that all problems with them were solved".

First of all, both companies want that [systems] worked reliably, effectively and safely, said in a brief joint statement of the company.[1]
