2020: Release of nanoCAD Design BIM 2.0

On September 29, 2020 the Nanosoft company announced release of the next version of the solution for information modeling of a design part of buildings and constructions: nanoCAD Design BIM 2.0.

nanoCAD Design BIM is intended for design of metal and reinforced concrete structures of buildings/constructions on the principles of information modeling (Building Information Modeling).

Concept of a product: the designer creates a three-dimensional information model using the intelligent tools setting standard constructions of the building, and the ready parametrized objects from the database. All elements of model have behavior and an interaction logic with each other which is defined by their class, parameter values and even calculations of formulas. At the same time all documentation (drawings, specifications, reports) it is automated forms from model, is based on the *.dwg format and it is ground under a design on domestic design standards. Such approach allows to improve quality of the project and also to automate process of approval of customers and adjacent specialists thanks to more evident submission and deeper study of project solutions in comparison with classical design methods. Besides, the principles of information modeling offer prospects of close cooperation of the project and construction organizations, accelerating interaction, approval of changes and increasing quality of the created objects.

The next version is both development of functionality, and integration into engineering infrastructure of nanoCAD 20. In fact nanoCAD Design BIM integrates advantages of classical design and technologies of information modeling. Using the universal nanoCAD Plus CAD platform as base and possibilities of modular expansion of functionality of nanoCAD, Design BIM develops technologies of information modeling in the *.dwg format. Users will find the instrument of constructive assemblies which provides consolidation of different constructions in the new type of objects "enveloped" by both information attributes, and functionality for work with multiple entries of construction into model in the provided version: we govern one object – the geometry of all occurrences changes. Assemblies can integrate in larger assemblies and create constructions of buildings on the increasing complexity, accelerating design, development of standard solutions and creation of library of repeated application.

The second feature of the next version is a support of the universal IFC BIM format at absolutely other level. Mechanisms provide now an opportunity not just to create IFC of version 4.0, but to configure and control any parameter of objects in the resulting IFC file. It allows to create own configurations of export, to develop integration of any complexity at the principles of OpenBIM (open interaction) with other BIM solutions and services. And what is very important, the structure of nanoCAD Design BIM 2.0 includes the edited presettings helping to save design BIM model according to Mosgosekspertiza's requirements (Moscow) and the Center of state examination (St. Petersburg).

At last, Design BIM completely supports by nanoCAD engineering infrastructure of nanoCAD 20. It means that Design BIM can be established on the universal nanoCAD Plus CAD platform in any modular configuration. For example, on nanoCAD SPDS.
