At the end of August, 2019 the U.S. Air Force announced partnership about Constellation blockchain startup for work with Big Data. Besides, the Air Force signed the partnership agreement with SIMBA Chain for start of "smart" contracts to provide a blockchain platform for protection of a supply chain.
The research laboratory of the United States Air Force and the AFWERX program combined efforts, trying to optimize and accelerate process of the innovation researches in the field of small business, to expand a circle of potential candidates on cooperation and to lower bureaucratic costs. Constellation blockchain startup - according to the press release published on August 27 was one of such candidates, they signed the working contract with the U.S. Air Force.
The vice president for business development in Constellation Benjamin Diggles responsible for partnership notes that the U.S. Air Force should protect a set of data sources, such as UAVs, airplanes and satellites. Besides, accurately stated and consolidated data which can be requested instantly are necessary for defensive forces of the country for work.
The data obtained from different sources are incoherent, difficult and require considerable labor resources for the analysis. Constellation states that it can provide the scaled and decentralized platform of safe data management which can be integrated both with earlier used, and with new data types. The company also claims that it creates control magazines and the operational overview of a status of any data source.
Besides, the U.S. Air Force signed the agreement with a startup of SIMBA Chain which will provide a blockchain platform for check of supply chains. The project objective is in tracing a production process and deliveries of spare parts for the equipment, having ensured safety of confidential drawings.[1]
