Was born on June 22, 1954.

1977

MGIMO OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE USSR

In 1977 graduated from MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and Russia

In the system of the MFA - since 1977. Has extensive work experience in central office of the Ministry and abroad.

In 1979 - 1983 Iran, and in Embassy of the USSR in Iran worked in Consulate general of the USSR in Isfagana.

In 1983 - 1987 - the third secretary, the second secretary in Embassy of the USSR in Afghanistan.

1988: Diplomatic academy MFA of the USSR

In 1988 graduated from faculty of advanced training at Diplomatic academy MFA of the USSR.

From 1989 to 1991 - the student of Diplomatic academy MFA of the USSR.

1991: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and Russia

In 1991 - 1992 - the first secretary, the adviser in Embassy of USSR / Russia in the Republic Afghanistan / the Islamic State Afghanistan.

In 1993 - 1996 - the adviser of Embassy of Russia in Pakistan.

In 1996 - 1998 - the political adviser of the Special UN Mission in Afghanistan.

From October, 2001 to February, 2004 - the associate director of the Third department of Asia (3DA) and in combination (from April, 2002 to March, 2003) - the responsible secretary of the Interdepartmental commission for Afghanistan and the special representative of the Minister of Afghanistan.

In 2004 - 2009 - the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Afghanistan.

Since November 9, 2009 - the director of the Second department of Asia (2DA) (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, the Republic of Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka).

Additional information

Has a diplomatic rank of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of 1 class (it is appropriated 6/28/2006).
