2019: Agreement signature about cooperation of UEC and TsIAM
On September 20, 2019 it became known that United Engine Corporation (UEC) and "The central institute of aviation engine building of P.I. Baranov" (TsIAM) signed the agreement on cooperation in the field of creation of "digital doubles" of turbine jets (SCD) and power units on their basis.
The agreement provides, in particular, joint development of TsIAM and UEC of methodology of creation of "digital doubles" of a SCD and their use at all stages of product lifecycle, including a certification stage.
The parties will also cooperate in the field of formation, improvement and practical use of the industry knowledge base for validation of results of virtual tests; validations of the mathematical models and techniques of computational modeling applied to creation of "digital doubles" of a SCD; uses of computing resources and TsIAM services for solving of tasks of UEC; the organizations of training of employees of UEC and formation of a competence-based profile of the specialists involved in solving of tasks of computational modeling and creation of "digital doubles" of a SCD for the purposes of formation of professional and educational standards.
"Creation of the turbine jet is a difficult knowledge-intensive process. Without the Central institute of aviation engine building effectively it cannot be implemented. At the same time modern calls demand from us that competitive engines were created and brought to the market not in 10-15 years as earlier, and quicker", 'Yury Shmotin, the deputy CEO – the chief designer of JSC UEC noted' |
"The signature of this agreement – the correct step. TsIAM traditionally is responsible for scientific and technical maintenance of development of aviation engines, and UEC – for their designing and creation. Our cooperation in use of digital, computer technologies should lead to improvement of methods of creation of engines and achievement of the results expected by customers from UEC concerning terms and financial resources",[1] 'Mikhail Gordin, the CEO of TsIAM noted' |
