People do not even represent, this intermediate range will be how important for such things as lighting on your court yard or management of lamps on the street — the CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos said, announcing Sidewalk.

Amazon claims that it is necessary for technology less than the power, than Wi-Fi. Detailed technical characteristics of the solution do not reveal.

By the end of September, 2019 the company tested Sidewalk on the equipment in Los Angeles, but did not call terms of start of technology. Amazon she intends to prepare technical documentation and a rule set for interaction of devices that developers could use a system in future products.

In 2020 Amazon promises to release the GPS tracker for dogs which will form developers a basis for creation of the similar gadgets working in Sidewalk network. Such devices will notify owners when their pet left a certain zone.

In addition to "smart" collars, Amazon sees in Sidewalk a possibility of use in mailboxes which will notify users on the received correspondence.[1]

We think that it will be good for tracking of things, maintenance of all in current status, but, first of all, it will increase distance at which you can manage simple, inexpensive devices easy in use — the senior vice president for devices and Amazon services Dave Limp said.
