Rostelecom and DGTU signed the agreement on cooperation

2019: The agreement for implementation of the Digital Economy of Russia national project

On October 3, 2019 Rostelecom South reported that together with the Don state technical university agreed about cooperation regarding educational programs and also about interaction within implementation of the Digital Economy of Russia national project. The parties signed the relevant agreement, having noted that approbation of model of Digital university will become one of its key points.

Partners intend to organize programs of the advancing training in the field of processing systems and data storage, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, geoinformation technologies, smart agriculture and other important directions. Training is going to be provided taking into account competences and corporate standards of Rostelecom. At the same time the reference higher education institution will act as the coordinator of educational process, and the national digital provider will provide technical solutions and opportunities for an output of the innovation projects to the market.

The signed agreement means more, than cooperation of the IT company and university. We actually direct efforts to implementation of national projects which already play an important role in development of the Rostov region. Cooperation which we put, – a basis for development of high-class specialists, so necessary for digital society. Moreover, our partnership – also an opportunity to apply the potential and design capacities of Rostelecom for the embodiment of the ideas which are given rise in the university. In the long term cooperation – application of technological solutions of Rostelecom by higher education institution for development of own digital infrastructure. The university intends to use services of storage and analytics of large volumes of data, to carry out integration of information security systems into management of administrative activity and IT infrastructure. Besides, within the agreement creation of joint laboratories and research division of PJSC Rostelecom based on DGTU is planned.
