"The All-Russian Research Institute of fishery and oceanography" (VNIRO) — head research institute of the fishery industry (the order of Rosrybolovstvo of 3/4/2015 No. 185). The research organization is created for scientific maintenance of the state activities for management of fishery, coordination of accomplishment of plans and programs of fishery research works of all fisheries management scientific organizations of the Russian Federation. VNIRO conducts scientific forwarding research and develops biological justifications of volumes of the general admissible catches (GAC) and the recommended catch of water bioresources of the seas and sweet waters of Russia and the World Ocean. Scientific research of VNIRO covers questions of creation and development of scientific and technical bases of fishing activities, protection, rational use, studying, preserving, reproduction of water bioresources and the environment of their dwelling, an aquaculture, the international activity.
