On September 26, 2019, Smart Engines announced that Metrium specialists have introduced a technical solution that allows you to automate the entry of passport data of potential customers when booking an apartment. Smart IDReader, developed by Smart Engines, was chosen as the basic recognition technology.

The implemented service is able to process scans and photos of the customer's passport taken using a scanner, phone or webcam, automatically extract information from the image and complete the form fields in the company's account system. Smart IDReader features are used to search for a document on the image and recognize the data of the spread of the Russian passport with the second and third pages.
