Avanpost PKI created a public key infrastructure for MegaFon

2019: Avanpost PKI implementation

On October 22, 2019 it became known that the Avanpost company completed implementation of Avanpost PKI in MegaFon company.

The single corporate system of infrastructure management of public keys (PKI) of the customer created within this project which basis is Avanpost PKI services PJSC MegaFon companies and JSC Megafon Retail. For October, 2019 with this system not less than 10 thousand users work in a constant duty, further their number will increase to 50 thousand.

Avanpost PKI provides accounting of all infrastructure facilities of public keys and supports all processes connected with release of digital signature certificates (EDS) for the staff of the companies. Let's especially note what certificates and other information can be stored both on usual physical key media, and in cloud services of the EDS.

In this infrastructure management system of PKI the principle of self-service is applied. Any employee can independently order to himself the EDS certificate, create necessary accompanying documents and browse characteristics of all certificates issued for it. Everything becomes directly in the Personal account. The translation of procedures in an electronic format considerably reduced paper document flow during a request and release of certificates and allowed to reduce the term of issue of the certificate till 4 o'clock.

Implementation of Avanpost PKI showed: broad introduction of cryptography and the electronic signature to basic processes of the customer is not exclusively difficult task and does not cause problems and inconveniences neither for users, nor for service staff. Considerable expansion of scope of the EDS allows to design this experiment that is extremely important taking into account a steady upward tendency of the legal importance of applications of IT.
