On November 11, 2019 the logistic company United Parcel Service (UPS) announced the joint project with an agrotechnology startup of HerdX which is engaged in development of solutions for work with data. Partners agreed to create a blockchain platform for tracking of supply of pork from the USA to Japan.
Within this cooperation HerdX developed complex a solution blockchain, allowing all participants of a supply chain of products to provide data to the end consumer from beef and mutton. Each client of restaurant or shop can scan the QR code in the menu or on packaging and obtain information on origin and quality of meat.
For sending goods Temperature True packaging developed by UPS equipped with sensors which control temperature is used and save this information throughout all process of delivery.
These data are transferred to a blockchain system of HerdX in which it is possible to see when temperature rises above the level, safe for meat, if it occurs.
According to the founder and the CEO of HerdX RON Hicks, a blockchain project on control of turnover of meat it is started after that, the USA and Japan signed the new trade agreement with which will expand sales of agricultural, industrial and digital output between the countries.
