Biography

Was born on March 30, 1960 in Moscow.

In 1982 graduated from the Higher school of KGB of the USSR, technical faculty.

After completion of training till 1994 worked in KGB as the specialist in the field of cryptography, creation of specialized computer systems, the analysis of algorithms. Has several copyright certificates on inventions.

In 1994-2000 - the assistant department head of data protection of Most-Bank (since 1998 – Media-Most holding).

Transition to VimpelCom

Since 2000 - the Head of Department of information securityVimpelCom (a trademark Beeline). Under the leadership of Dmitry Ustyuzhanin the information security system in VimpelCom, including creation of the center of the monitoring and response to incidents of security covering the companies of group in Russia, the CIS countries, Cambodia, Vietnam was constructed.

Dismissal from VimpelCom

In November, 2015 Dmitry Ustyuzhanin left VimpelCom, TAdviser told the source close to the company. According to a source, it occurred against the background of reorganization VimpelCom during which the company was left also by many other employees of a key element.

VimpelCom announced the beginning of reorganization in April, 2015. In September the CEO of the company Mikhail Slobodin said^[1]that in the course of reorganization VimpelCom can reduce personnel "by tens of percent", mainly, at the expense of an administrative and management personnel.

At the same time, the company does not refuse a position of the Head of Cybersecurity Department. According to the interlocutor of TAdviser well familiar with activity VimpelCom, instead of Dmitry Ustyuzhanin in January, 2016 is going to appoint Alexander Golubev, the head of department on information security supportof VTB Bank. Afterwards Golubev was appointed the director of directorate of information security VimpelCom.
