Rostec provided Internet access for 463 social objects of the Irkutsk region

2019: Connection to the Internet of 463 socially important objects of the Irkutsk region

On November 27, 2019 Rostec reported that the National center of informatization completed the first stage of the project on connection of socially important objects of the Irkutsk region to the high-speed Internet. Access to it was got by 463 organizations of the region. Works are carried out within the federal draft "Information Infrastructure" of the national program "Digital Economy of Russia".

Creation of necessary infrastructure is conducted by request of the Ministry of digital development of communication and mass communications of Russia. In total in the next three years access to the high-speed Internet will be got by nearly 1800 objects in different areas of the Irkutsk region: educational institutions, medical and obstetrical centers, structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and National Guard of the Russian Federation, executive authorities.

Connection to the high-speed Internet of socially important objects for us is an important mission. We provided broadband access including to the organizations located in the territories affected by floods in the summer of 2019. All works planned within the first stage are complete just in time. All necessary documentation is already transferred to the state customer. The project is implemented in close cooperation with regional administration and municipalities, with the assistance of local telecom operators. Project implementation will allow to solve problems of the national program "Digital Economy of Russia", having provided the social organizations of the Irkutsk region with modern means of communication and technologies of remote service.
