2023: Implementation of WMS Logistics Vision Suite at Malino Township Warehouse

On November 9, 2023, ANT Technologies announced the completion of the project to modernize all storage areas for finished products KERAMA MARAZZI and transfer the last site located in the village of Malino, Moscow Region, to the management of WMS Logistics Vision Suite.

The incentive for unifying the scheme of operation of warehouse space was the impossibility of the third-party warehouse management system deployed at that time to solve current problems. The decision to replicate the WMS Logistics Vision Suite was made on the basis of many years of positive experience in using LVS at production and warehouse sites in Orel. The system fully copes with the assigned tasks to support the current processes for managing the operation of the warehouse complex, monitoring the fulfillment of tasks by personnel.

At the automated site in Malino, as well as at the warehouse in Orel, WMS Logistics Vision Suite is deployed at all areas of the warehouse complex of finished products, all warehouse processes are involved: acceptance from production, movement, replenishment, placement, selection, packaging, marking, shipment.

WMS Logistics Vision Suite centrally manages finished product warehouses during production, operates in a single database, uses common master data and a unified exchange interface with the host system for all storage sites.

Such an implementation allows, on the one hand, to process products of different assortment using different scenarios for processing goods and system, algorithms users to limit visibility information and access to, on the to data other hand, independently and with low risks of influencing each other to modify, develop and conveniently maintain the functionality of warehouse locations in the future.

Putaway is set up in automated mode according to a scheme that does not require the preliminary creation or import of documents. For new products coming from production, a pallet passport is printed, which is scanned on an automated line by an industrial Hik Robots scanner, packed and then a label using a QR code is applied to the applicator. Subsequently, this QR code is used in WMS Logistics Vision processes or by end customers to obtain and automate control of all necessary information on the released products: production date, batch number, tone, caliber, shift, quantity and other properties. When placing the accepted finished product in storage bins, its weight and size characteristics and properties are taken into account, various rules and algorithms of storage are applied depending on the group of goods.

During the system replication process, additional functionality was configured and implemented, including the addition of new product groups, the ability to account for large pallets, quick reconfiguration for 2 or 3 paletomests, the use of intermediate buffer zones between production and storage area, new warning rules were implemented, etc.

The replication of Logistics Vision Suite allowed the Malino company to optimize storage locations for various types of packages and pallets, organize optimal scenarios for the selection and movement of products taking into account weight-volume restrictions, and set up complete and end-to-end traceability of product movement. Optimization of warehouse processes allows you to more effectively manage the operation of the warehouse, reduce costs, provide a high level of service to consumers.

2019: The beginning of modernization by folding activities at a production facility in the city of Oryol

On December 18, 2019, Ant Technologies announced that, together with Kerama Marazzi, they had begun the process of modernizing their operations at the Velor production facility.

The owners are constantly working to modernize production. Thanks to constant investments in the production, introduction of modern innovative technologies, the company is one of the five leaders in the manufacturers of ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware.

For further confident development of the company and expansion of production, Kerama Marazzi has launched a warehouse automation project. As part of the chosen strategy, the company begins to implement the WMS Logistics Vision Suite in the warehouses of the factory in the city of Orel. The warehouse modernization project includes the automation of the logistics warehouse and finished product warehouses during production. The implementation of Logistics Vision Suite is planned in all areas of raw materials and goods processing, which will allow the program to manage all warehouse processes: acceptance, movement, replenishment, placement, selection, packaging, labeling, document formation, shipment. Data on the transfer of finished products comes from LVS to 1C.

The choice of warehouse management system in favor of WMS Logistics Vision Suite was made on the basis of an analysis of presented industry solutions, as a result of which LVS showed itself as the most flexible and adaptive solution.

Upon completion of the implementation project, the company will be able to effectively manage a wide range, significantly increase the speed of product processing and increase the number of orders shipped.

As of December 18, 2019, the warehouse was launched during production and one of the warehouses of finished products. Logistics Vision Suite is planned to be implemented in all finished product warehouses in early 2020.
