On August 4, 2023, another amendment to the 63-FZ regarding the application of machine-readable powers of attorney was published. They extended the possibility of using an employee's certificate when signing documents - to work with this type of signature, you do not need to issue an MFD. Such certificates can be used until August 31, 2024 or until the expiration date, depending on what happens earlier.

However, from September 1, 2023, certification centers will cease to issue employee certificates. Employees who do not have a certificate, as well as all new employees of companies, will need to use certificates of individuals and electronic powers of attorney to sign documents.

The Baikal Service company did not postpone the transition to these rules and began the implementation of the MFD until the amendments were published. The decision was made by the management, and the implementation was entrusted to the Settlement Service, which, among other things, is engaged in sending primary accounting documents to the company's clients through EDO. In March 2023, employees began to use certificates of individuals and electronic powers of attorney to sign documents.

Prior to that, Baikal Service went through several stages of preparation. Employees involved in sending documents through EDM received certificates from individuals. Then the IT department registered certificates in the company's information system. After that, an employee responsible for issuing the MFD was appointed.

The company has chosen for itself a suitable way to create an MFD - release in a specialized service. Employees wanted to see an understandable service with a simple interface, which does not require additional training to work in. The company decided to dwell on the web version of the Contour service. Trust. Baikal Service is already working with electronic documents in the EDO Kontur.Diadok service, which also served as one of the reasons for choosing a service for creating an MFD from the Contour.

Baikal Service has a large volume of cargo transportation and a wide range of services provided. In the first quarter of 2023 alone, 1.2 million documents were sent through EDO. In the second quarter of 2023, their number increased to 1.4 million. The company decided that with such volumes, the right approach would be to smoothly transfer customers to interact with the MFD.

At first, Baikal Service worked according to the updated scheme with only 10% of the total number of documents. Responsible employees collected feedback from counterparties. Results of the transition to EDM

The transport company "Baikal-Service" together with the company "SKB Kontur" shared the results of the project for the transition of the company to electronic document management. This was announced on June 8, 2023 by the Baikal-Service company.

As of June 2023, more than 133 thousand customers are already working in the EDO service. In 2022, the number of connected counterparties tripled compared to the previous period - more than 3.5 million electronic documents were transferred over the year. Three employees cope with sending this volume - when working on paper, it would be necessary to significantly increase the staff.

Thanks to the use of EDO, the company's financial costs have halved. At the same time, the speed of receipt of payments from customers increased due to the acceleration of the delivery of primary documents. The time for receiving and signing documents was reduced from 2-3 weeks to several minutes.

2021: Results of the transition to EDO
