Velikiye Luki meat-processing plant automated InStock WMS help warehouses

2019: InStock WMS implementation

On December 27, 2019 InStock Technologies announced that automation of a production warehouse and warehouse of Logistics of Velikiye Luki Meat-processing Plant company is finished. This meat-processing enterprise in Northwest the federal district of Russia. Products are sold through federal and local retail chain stores, state orders, shops of corporate network and sent for export.

For expansion of partner networks and increase in a goods turnover it was required to optimize business processes and to reduce costs.

The tasks to automate raw-material storage and a warehouse financially of the equipment were set for InStock Technologies company. Complexity was the fact that accounting in these two warehouses is different. In a warehouse of MTS it was necessary to automate accounting of different goods, from clothes to spare parts. These goods strongly differ in the principles of a tovaroobrabotka. On raw-material storage it is necessary to consider strictly expiration dates, batches, weight characteristics.

Automation was required to be carried out to short terms and within a certain budget. The implementation methodology Easy Start which allowed to optimize fully warehouses in three months was selected.

nStock WMS optimized storage in both warehouses of the company. The warehouse management system at placement of goods on a warehouse considers the weight, the pallet size, load of a beam and defines places for storage depending on types and the statuses of goods.

Implementation of Instock WMS allowed to optimize management and accounting of raw materials and to increase the accuracy of a remaining balance of a warehouse to 100%. Time for execution of operations of selection of raw materials and its shipments for production was reduced.
