Samsung submitted the project of "artificial people" which received the name Neon

In recent years Samsung activated development of artificial intelligence, having promised to invest $22 billion in researches AI and a 5G by 2020. In spite of the fact that the main attention of the company is concentrated around the intellectual assistant to Bixby, Neon can become an interesting alternative. Neon developers clearly let know that their "artificial people" cannot be considered normal digital assistants it seems, Amazon Alexa or Siri Apple.

Everyone "a neon avatar" will have the name, like Frank, Natasha or Hang, and they should serve as representatives of different services, concierges and consultants. According to the company, everyone "the neon avatar" is generated by the computer to conduct intelligent emotional conversations with users. Though their lines are simulated on a sample of real people, all looks and dialogs of avatars are artificial. Avatars are configured for accomplishment of different tasks and are capable to respond to the requests with a delay less than several milliseconds.

Avatars are based on own technology of the company, Core R3, and developers claim that this approach essentially differs from deepfake or other methods of revival of the person of digital characters. According to the company, neural networks Core R3 "are carefully trained in reproduction of appearance and interaction of real people". The technology is still improved, however in STAR Labs say that are going to start the beta of avatars at the end of 2020.[1]
