The Accenture Federal Services company signed with the U.S. Department of Defense the so-called IDIQ contract, i.e. the contract with indefinite term / an indefinite delivery quantity. IDIQ contracts are used when the Administration of general services of the USA is not able to define exact supply requirement or services which are necessary for the government agency during the term of the agreement, and most often used for service contracts and design of different services. The new contract should help the Defense Ministry to simplify the major engineering tasks connected with IT research and development and also with integration and optimization of opportunities, systems and solutions in the field of protection of IT.

The contract guarantees that Accenture Federal Services will receive all $7.5 billion in exchange for deliveries cloud, applied and cybersolutions with emphasis on the innovation conversions. Accenture did not begin to disclose more detailed information. Nevertheless, the head of a defense portfolio of Accenture Federal Services Vince Vlasho announced that AFS by means of innovations intends to change radically the opportunities within defense technologies that the Pentagon could improve control over fighting now and in the future.[1]
