2020: Creating a Registry
In mid-January 2020, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law creating a unified register of persons convicted of crimes against the sexual integrity of minors in the country.
The electronic database will include the surname, first name, patronymic of the convict, his date of birth and place of residence or stay, as well as the crime for which he was convicted. Information about a person can be deleted from the register if the conviction or court order is canceled.
Information about the pedophile will be entered into the system after the entry into force of the conviction of the court.

According to the website of the Verkhovna Rada , the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine will be responsible for the register, and prosecutors and investigative bodies , as well as authorized representatives of the National Police and the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR), will use it.
In addition, the signed law strengthens the responsibility for rape against a person under the age of 14, regardless of his voluntary consent, by a person who previously committed such crimes - up to life imprisonment.
