2020: Plans for creation of the verified system of the distributed register
On January 10, 2020 the Innopolis University reported that together with Aeroflot and BitFury will create the first in Russia completely verified blockchain platform worth 600 million rubles.
Development will be applied in health care, transport, financial services, the industry, power, education, rural and city farms.
The Russian IT university received the status of the leading research center of digital economy in the field of a blockchain, having won in tender of the Ministry of digital development, communication and mass communications of the Russian Federation. Industrial partners in the program — PJSC Aeroflot. Innopolis the company providing a full stroke of services in the field of blockchain technologies, Bitfury Group will help to integrate technology to the University.
The verified system of the distributed register which will be developed by specialists of the center in 2020 — 2021 will meet domestic safety requirements. The technology will include a specialized programming language which is developed at the University Innopolis, the verified compiler, cryptographic methods and protocols, methods of verification of properties of programs. Till 2021 the technology will earn in 6 industries of digital economy of Russia, and by 2022 — in 8. Within the project it is going to train 40 people according to programs of the higher education in the field of a blockchain, to register 6 patents and to develop 12 mathematical models of products and processes.
This method of verification on the basis of the system of the distributed register will secure data and will increase their reliability — medical information on patients in health care, diplomas and certificates in the field of education, accounting and marking of the made products in the industry and agriculture. In a fintekha there will be other formats of investment and financial institutions will be able to offer clients the different services based on a blockchain. One more large direction — automatic audit of smart contracts which. The world in is applied anywhere yet such audit will take only 3 minutes, it is a global innovation. The consulting companies checks smart contracts manually. By our estimates, the average time of implementation will be only 10 hours whereas for the beginning of January, 2020 this process takes 5 days. Specialists of the University Innopolis will develop a solution blockchain with complete formal verification of smart contracts for Aeroflot and integrate it with a pilot project of airline — gas stations of aircrafts. Development is planned within work on the agreement of the Republic of Tatarstan with Aeroflot on strategic partnership based on the Center of civil aviation of the University Innopolis. In Tatarstan the Ministry of Health for storage of medical data is going to use a blockchain platform. The companies of the oil and gas industry are interested in the project for control and accounting of the made products and production. One of the engineering companies was attracted by a possibility of marking and licensing of cars and spare parts on the basis of a blockchain.
The Innopolis University together with Higher School of Economics National Research University, MIPT, MSU, URFA and Institute of system programming of RAS will develop and integrate into digital economy of Russia the verifitsrovanny system of the distributed register.
Total amount of financing of the project — 600 million rubles, from which 300 million — grant means of the Digital Economy national project, 300 million — private joint financing.
