2020: Approach S62 presentation

Garmin provided on January 23, 2020 the Approach S62 model – hours of a premium class for golf with the GPS receiver and functions which allow to plan results of a game, using data on the direction, wind speed and force of blow.

One of the key Approach S62 — Virtual Caddie functions — helps to select a suitable blow club on the basis of the standard range of blows by this club and wind parameters (speed and the direction). The PlaysLike Distance function by which it is possible to define on the card where it is necessary to aim also barriers on the ways to a hole and also blow range taking into account a field bias supplements this function.

The built-in function of tracking of AutoShot measures and automatically writes the range of blows. For access to additional functions of automatic tracking a game it is required to set interface of watch with compatible sensors for Approach CT10 clubs.

Statistics of golf allows to analyze and browse a game using statistics widget; data are calculated in the Garmin Golf application and then are transferred for hours. In this section it is possible to trace sports indicators: the index of a handicap, percent of hits / misses on fervy, percent of hits / misses for initial blow and percent of "green in regulation" (hit on Green the planned number of blows).

The device is equipped with easily readable touch screen 1.3', providing all necessary information and cartography in complete color. The model contains in itself more than 41.000 color preloaded maps of golf courses of CourseView worldwide.

The bonus Approach S62 model saved the basic functions of the smartwatch necessary in everyday life: function of measurement of pulse rate on a wrist, the Pulse Ox sensor for determination of the saturation level of blood oxygen and even the system of contactless payments Garmin Pay.
