2022: Implementation of Quarry Mining Management System at Marcona Field in Peru
On June 22, 2022, Zyfra Group of Companies and the Peruvian company Cosapi Mineria, which operates in the mining sector of Latin America, announced that they had deployed a mining production management system for ACS CPF Quarry at the Markona field in the province of Nazca.
Marcona has been in operation since the 50s of the last century and has the largest reserves of iron ore in Peru and in the world. Markona is owned state the Chinese by Shougang.
Thanks to the implemented solutions, it was possible to increase the production efficiency of the enterprise by more than 3.5%. In the process of trial operation, it was proved that greater productivity is achieved when working with a full fleet of equipment in an open cycle.
"It was an extraordinary project for us. First, this is our first project in Latin America. Secondly, at the facility, we have introduced a rock accounting pilot. In this field, our team learned to record rocks inside the well and, as a result, collect statistics on the drilling rates of different rocks. After all, the drilling speed depends on the rocks: if they are loose, the bursting will work faster, if the rocks are strong, respectively, the work takes place more slowly. And each company is just looking for reasons why productivity is falling. Our system takes into account breeds, collects statistics, sends to the server and generates reports, " told Pavel Rastopshin, Managing Director of Zyfra Group of Companies |
"Full web access to the system allows any authorized user to get information on the object from anywhere, at any time and from any device. Along with this, the usability of the system contributes to the achievement of specific goals, " stated Arturo Murrugarra, head of career performance at Cosapi Mineria |
As part of the project, which began in April 2019, Zyfra automated the mining management system and equipped 39 pieces of equipment: 29 dump trucks, 4 electric quarry mechanical shovels, 1 excavator, 4 drilling rigs and 1 front loader.
Zyfra has implemented fuel consumption monitoring, operational and downtime monitoring, remote diagnostics, safety management, fuel cycle monitoring and drilling monitoring. A road quality control module was also deployed at the facility. The system points to problematic areas of the road surface, which allows you to quickly eliminate them. This solution allows you to increase the average speed of dump trucks, as well as reduce negative impacts on equipment and extend its service life.
"Traditional methods did not allow us to manage the quarry in the way that the Zyfras system allows. We have significantly increased productivity and the degree of control, we have more information on the object, " narrated by Raphael Juarez, project manager at Cosapi Mineria |
2020: Implementation of the Quarry Mining Management System at Shougang Hierro Peru
On February 25, 2020, it became known that the company Cosapi Mineria installed the Russian a mining management system at the Shougang Hierro Peru open pit. " Pit Investments in the project amounted to 750 thousand. dollars
The project with Cosapi Mineria is the first project in Latin America not only for us as a company, but also in terms of exporting digital technologies to this region. |
The use of a state-of-the-art mining and transport complex management system will allow our customers to receive a service that complies with the Industry 4.0 concept. Our priority is employee safety and respect for the environment, so we use solutions that significantly reduce the risk of dangerous situations, as well as CO2 emissions. commented on the project in Cosapi Mineria |
As reported, the main objective of the Quarry system is to increase production with the current volume of equipment and improve the safety of open pit mining. This is achieved by optimally distributing the technique and reducing the human factor. The "quarry" helps to manage the loading of dump trucks, as well as monitor drivers, identifying violations. The program recognizes dangerous operations such as speeding, unreasonable downtime, and also evaluates the work of drivers and operators during the entire shift.
As part of the project, sensors were installed for dump trucks, diesel and electric excavators, drilling rigs, and a high-speed Wi-Fi network was deployed at the quarry itself. Information on the operation of the equipment is available to the dispatching and management personnel, and the data is also seen by excavator drivers and dump truck drivers on smart panels in the car cabins in real time. The dynamic optimization module automatically reconfigures the optimal routes of equipment, taking into account the real situation at the quarry, for example, equipment failure.
The software and hardware system Drill monitors the drilling parameters and simulates the well charge using the obtained energy intensity data. Drill provides well pattern design and high precision guidance (centimeter precision) of drilling rigs using/. GLONASSGPS The project also includes a road quality module that allows you to timely detect problem areas of roads using graphic and tabular information.
