The Volga Organic Synthesis company, one of the chemical companies, largest in Europe, completed implementing solution "Institute of Model Solutions: Process production", developed by "Institute of Standard Solutions — Production, Institute of Model Solutions" company on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform.
The Volga Organic Synthesis enterprise is founded in 1993 and is one of the largest participants of the Russian market of organic synthesis. Now the company produces a wide range of products of basic chemistry.
The project started in August, 2008. Need for automation of accounting and management accounting, including cost accounting and delivery of the regulated reporting became the reason of a project startup. Earlier the company used several separate information systems – spreadsheets and the system of own development were applied. Obtaining reliable and operational information about production costs was extremely complicated.
The choice for benefit of the solution "Institute of Model Solutions: Process production" it was made in connection with its focus on process production, including compliance to specifics of business processes of chemical industry. Besides, a system does not contain excess functionality – in the solution only those modules which are required for the customer can be connected.
Implementation is implemented by specialists of the enterprise and the staff of AVK-system company. Within the project the cost accounting block is started, add-on functional units are implemented. In a project deliverable the enterprise received new tools of cost accounting, control and ensuring profitability. Automation allowed to gain clear idea of a cost structure on production and also showed ways of reduction of product cost.
Now a system is brought into commercial operation. About 100 jobs are automated. Also in the new complete solution the analysis of profitability on each product, the agreement, the partner is implemented. These tools allow the management of the enterprise to estimate profitability of each of the directions of production and to make strategic decisions on the most reasonable resource allocation on gain of the profitable directions.
