The total costs of a system made $3 million since $1.5 million more were during this time invested in the equipment and licenses. Now annual ensuring support of the EDMS current configuration in which 4 thousand users work costs administration 42 million rubles.

Technical support

Technical support of EDMS of Perm Krai includes several levels. The first in two – elimination of the simplest malfunctions – the Perm group "Information Systems" (IS) which won the tender for these works is engaged. Problems are more difficult redirected on programmers of the Croc implementing a system. In case it is required to enter entering into codes of Documentum, the appeal is sent to the system developer – EMC.

Failure of work in 2010

The governor of Perm Krai Oleg Chirkunov in the blog announced that the electronic document management system (EDMS) of Documentum unrolled in administration gave global failure. "Several days the speed of its work was such that it was impossible to work, - he writes. - Or because municipalities with a large number of jobs, or because of the errors which are saved up in a system were connected".

The chief of staff of the government of Perm Krai Makar Hermann told CNews that the reasons really were exactly what was called by the governor. "Failure was the result of inclusion in a mass order of local government authorities, - he says. – We incorrectly predicted loading. The users who so far are again connected still study and start twice more processes, than it is really necessary. The equipment was not ready to it".

Complete solution took three days, Herman claims. "A system worked slowly, but never stopped completely, - he adds. – Its recovery in 4-5 hours after the blog posting of the governor was complete". According to the official, hardware capacities were added in the first hours after the beginning of malfunctions without any additional equipment procurements. The main time from these three days was taken by works of programmers on elimination of the software failures which collected during operation of a system. This time intervention of vendor failure at the level of Croc was not required, eliminated.
