Societe Generale creates uniform IT infrastructure for all banks of group based on IT resources of Rosbank

2020: Plans for creation of uniform IT infrastructure

On March 5, 2020 Rosbank reported that Societe Generale is the international banking network in Russia, creates uniform IT infrastructure for all banks of group based on IT resources of Rosbank. For implementation of this project Rosbank obtained the license for rendering telematic communication services in banking group.

Obtaining the license will allow Rosbank to create unified information environment between different banks of Group that will increase security in corporate network, will allow the staff of Rosbank and subsidiary companies, including Rusfinance Bank, to use a single communication framework. It will allow to accelerate interaction between banks of Group and will increase operational efficiency. Creation of uniform IT infrastructure of Rosbank is a continuation of a strategic vector of development of bank as modern hi-tech financial institution, commented on obtaining by Rosbank the license for telematic communication services Natalya Vojvodina, the board member - the director of operating activities of Rosbank

As representatives of Rosbank told TAdviser, during transformation of IT infrastructure, IT infrastructures of Rosbank, Rosbank the House, Rusfinance Banka, "Rosbank Insurance", Rosbank Leasing and Rosbank Factoring integrate.

The project began in 2019 with implementation of a uniform operational model (GTS.RU) and also with creation of the common infrastructure platform decisions. Transformation and unification of IT systems will continue to the middle of 2021.

Creation of uniform IT infrastructure will allow Rosbank to increase security, efficiency of interaction between the companies of Group; pass to standards of the Societe Generale Group of IT technology, will provide use of the modern infrastructure platform as the base for further digital transformation of bank (Private Cloud, Containers and orchestration for CI/CD, Big data.); optimize a cost operational model.

The operational model is constructed in the majority by efforts of IT specialists of all companies of the SG Group, an insignificant part of the project is implemented on outsourcing at offices and sales points in regions.

All IT services based on uniform infrastructure will be available to employees of the Societe Generale Russia group, including IP telephony (IP Cisco and Skype for business), depending on a user profile and its activity.
