2020: Use of the pilotless Zala 421-16E2 complexes
On March 2, 2020 the company Zala Aero reported that Academy of bioresources of the Crimean Federal University it purchased pilotless complexes ZALA 421-16E2 for aerial photography agricultural of grounds. The multispectral camera and also the dual camera is included in the delivery.
About 3 thousand hectares of the earth where grow up grain, vineyards, olives and other cultures are under authority of Academy of bioresources. Using ZALA UAVs the staff of the university is going to increase productivity of lands, to optimize costs for fertilizers and means of protecting of plants, to define the territories needing additional irrigation.
According to aerial photography specialists will create orthophotomaps of the area, to build three-dimensional models of a relief, to create cards of vegetative indexes. It will allow them to estimate a condition of the soil and plants, to receive quantitative and qualitative indexes, to lay the foundation of adaptive agriculture and digital agriculture.
