Biography
In 1997, Alexei Poddubny graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, majoring in Applied Mathematics.
Shortly before defending his diploma, he got a job at Absolut Bank, where there was a vacancy in the internal audit and reporting department. At first, he specialized in compiling reports for the Central Bank.
Soon there was a choice - either to continue to engage in financial reporting, or to specialize in the field of information technology. By that time, Poddubny already had experience in automating banking processes: Absolut Bank launched an ABS that requires combining financial and IT knowledge. As a result, he chose the second.
Later he became director of the information technology department. The tasks of his department were to support the necessary level of IT services in the bank, as well as the development of IT. As the Chief information officer Absolyut Banka, Poddubny worked for 11 years.
In 2011, he joined Sberbank. He headed the Application Services Support Center, where he was responsible for supporting the bank's information systems, and also built process management in the "Technologies" block of Sberbank in terms of current tasks of technological and operational support.
In May 2018, Alexei Poddubny was appointed to the role of head of the Unified Front System (EFU) program, TAdviser was told in Sberbank. In 2016, Sberbank called EFU the largest IT program of the bank. It is an integral part of Sberbank's new technology platform, enables large-scale, parallel and independent production of business functionality, launch and replication as it is ready (on-demand), provides high performance, reliability and security of customer service. The number of the program team is more than 1 thousand. IT professionals across Russia.
Earlier, this program was led by Elena Baturova, who left Sberbank in October 2018. Under her leadership in Sberteh, Vadim Sharobaev was responsible for the UFS, who later went to work at VTB.
2022: The duties of David Rafalovsky, who left Sberbank, will be performed by Alexey Poddubny
Alexey Poddubny, Vice President for Technological Development, was appointed acting head of the Technology block of Sberbank. About this TAdviser told a source familiar with the situation. Sberbank did not comment on the topic.
As an informed source told TAdviser, the departure of David Rafalovsky occurred rapidly, in fact on the same day. According to the source, Alexey Poddubny, who has been working at Sberbank for 11 years, knows all the nuances of the banking IT economy well, so his appointment as acting head of the Technologiya block was a logical decision for the bank's management. When asked by TAdviser whether Alexey Poddubny would retain his position in the future, the source found it difficult to answer.
The following areas and projects were transferred to the sphere of responsibility of Alexei Poddubny:
- digitalization of the bank
- the business of creating smart assistants SberDevices
- cloud provider SberCloud
- development of Christofari supercomputer
- Development of the Platform V digital platform, to which Sber's current business has been transferred and which is already offered as a digital transformation platform to external customers.
Prior to his appointment, Alexey Poddubny dealt with the issues of digital transformation of the bank, the transition to microservice architecture, and the restart of the Platform V digital platform.
