Smart cameras to detect defects of poltry products of "Cherkizovo"

The Cherkizovo group in 2020 is going to start pilot projects on use of machine vision at quality control of products on a production line. Told about this TAdviser in the company in April, 2020. The representative of Cherkizovo specified that the pilot will be carried out on production of poultry-farming products. It is provided by various product assortment from fowl under the Petelinka brand.

Machine vision will allow to reveal defects of appearance of products and packaging which can influence the decision of the consumer on purchase commission, explained TAdviser in the company.

Implementation of cameras of machine vision will allow to increase selection of the estimated products, to timely notice deviations and quickly to react to them. It will help to reduce at the same time costs for completion and finally to raise a customer loyalty and consumers to the Cherkizovo brands, - calculate in the company.

On each production site there is the department qualities. The number of people in it depends on number of lines and the amount of production. The released human resources can be used for work on implementation of other projects connected with product quality improvement added to Cherkizovo.

Earlier the group started the large-scale project on quality evaluation and defects of products on shelves in shops based on the digital Chicago platform. ST platform in itself "Mobile trade. Chicago" is used in the company several years, but initially it was applied only to work of merchandisers in retail chain stores, explained TAdviser in Cherkizovo. And in 2019 process on completion of the current functionality under needs of the project on products quality evaluation was initiated.

It works so. The auditor in outlet does selection of products and carries out its assessment. Then these data are collected in the report which contains the comprehensive analysis up to the indication of a production line on which the product was released. It allows to make point actions for improvement of quality and to keep track further of their effectiveness, - explained in Cherkizovo.

In a month auditors bypass about 100 shops. According to the representative of Cherkizovo, as of April the assessment is carried out in Moscow. Further the geography will extend.

Use of a new quality control system of products will extend to hypermarkets, supermarkets, shops at the house of all formats. They turn on shops "Tape" "OK" Auchan "Intersection" Pyaterochka, "Dixy".
