AiTeco and Simple Group constructed fault-tolerant a LAN on 2500 ports based on solutions of Huawei

2020: Creation fault-tolerant LAN

On April 15, 2020 the AiTeco company reported that it executed design of a local computer network and updated storage systems at office Simple Group. Protection of investments of the customer into the updated infrastructure is guaranteed by scalable architecture of network, a double reserve of optical ports and the updated equipment.

According to the company, in 2019 in connection with moving to other office and its expansion the decision on upgrade of a local computer network was made. Besides, replacement of the equipment which did not meet requirements of the updated ERP system was required. Based on the held competition the AiTeco company offered the most relevant to requirements of the Customer the project.

As the technical platform for a local computer network the solution of Huawei company was selected.

Specialists of AiTeco executed at the scheduled time a full range of works on inspection, design and supply of equipment for a LAN. On the basis of the project developed by AiTeco the IT department of Simple Group unrolled a local computer network with a capacity of 2.5 thousand ports with the following parameters:

• the core of network consists of two optical fixed multiplexers in a failover cluster;
• all 13 logical stacks of access switches are connected to a core on two 10-gigabit channels;
• use of modules of SFP+ with multimode type of a fiber optic cable allows to transmit a signal to distance to 300 – 400 meters;
• switches of a core are equipped with 24 ports of 10 Gbit for connection of the access level and 100 Gbit for the organization of a cluster of the kernel level;
• in core switches – reservation of power supplies according to scheme 2N is used.

The updated infrastructure constructed by Simple Group on the project of AiTeco allowed to raise significantly the level of network transmission capacity and quality of providing services for users. Due to reservation of trunk communication channels and the kernel level of a LAN the failsafe network architecture was implemented. Simple Group was provided with office from updated a LAN which meets all requirements for functionality and reliability and provides conditions for effective work of all staff of the company.

In addition to the project the AiTeco company updated the equipment under the Customer's business systems. Due to ERP system implementation the company held closed competition on supply of equipment instead of outdated. Having won competition, AiTeco performed delivery of DWH of Huawei OceanStor Dorado 5000 V3 and OceanStor 5500 V5 and also the HPE ProLiant DL360 servers. The updated IT infrastructure will provide the continuity of business processes of Simple Group and will increase performance of business applications.
